Volunteer with the CFSA

Just as the desert’s resilience depends on each unique plant and creature, our community is strongest when individuals contribute their time, expertise, or perspective. Our volunteer opportunities offer meaningful ways to help shape the future of philanthropy in Southern Arizona.

We are committed to building volunteer groups and committees that reflect the diversity of our region. We encourage volunteers from all backgrounds to apply, especially those from historically underrepresented communities, including:

  • Nonprofit staff (non-executive level)
  • People of color and Indigenous individuals
  • LGBTQIA+ community members
  • Young adults
  • Persons with disabilities

Volunteer on a

Grant Committee

Help ensure funding reaches those who need it most by serving on a Grant Review Committee. As a reviewer, you’ll read and score grant applications, offering your time, expertise, and perspective to guide investment decisions in Southern Arizona. Our community thrives when people come together to make a difference. By including local voices in the review process, we ensure funding decisions reflect the needs and priorities of the people these grants are meant to serve.

  • Time Commitment: depends on the grant review timeline, with more opportunities typically available in the spring
  • Eligibility Requirement: This opportunity is open to volunteers who have no conflicts of interest, whether through work or volunteer involvement with the organizations applying for funding.
