In this session, we’ll cover practical approaches to identifying, cultivating, and retaining board members, with a focus on what is working in today’s nonprofit environment, and where organizations are running into challenges. Participants will be invited to share their own experiences and learn from one another in a collaborative, discussion-based setting.
About the Presenter

Claire West started her own successful business at 21. After working for over 30 years in small business, government, nonprofit management, and as a grant-maker, statewide project manager, nonprofit founder, nonprofit fundraiser, and nonprofit advisor, she founded Claire West – Consulting in 2014, and partners with top consultants in the field to provide a range of services. Since its founding, Claire West – Consulting has served over 120 non-profits throughout the country. Clients include arts and culture, education, human services, health, faith, environment, historic preservation, and inclusion. Currently, a portfolio of nine active clients. She is a Roster Consultant for Local First Arizona, the Center for Economic Recovery, and Vitalyst Health Foundation, and a participant in the Tucson Facilitator Learning Guild. She serves on six nonprofit boards.
