The Betty Smedley Memorial Scholarship is a corporate scholarship established by members of the Smedley family in honor of the late Betty Smedley, who was a founding member and dedicated much of her life to Hughes Federal Credit Union.
Scholarships are offered for one academic year. Recipients may reapply for up to four years of funding. Renewal of the scholarship is not guaranteed.
Additional Application Criteria
- Qualified applicants must be an employee, the dependent, or the spouse of an employee of Hughes Federal Credit Union.
- The qualifying individual must have been employed for at least 6 months as of the application due date and have worked an average of at least 10 hours per week.
